Yes — but only under specific conditions. Rental cars hired in the Republic of Cyprus (the Greek side) may cross into the north if you inform us in advance. Our standard insurance does not cover the Turkish-controlled area, so you’ll need to purchase temporary third-party insurance at the crossing point (usually €20–€35 for up to 7 days).
Please note:
– The temporary insurance is valid only for the north and offers limited third-party coverage (no theft or damage protection).
– Any breakdowns or accidents must be handled within the northern area, as roadside assistance from the south cannot operate there.
– Vehicles must be returned to the south at the end of the rental.
– We recommend driving only on major roads and keeping all documents (rental agreement + temporary insurance) in the car at all times.
