Car rental insurance in Cyprus should be clear before you collect the vehicle. At Infinite Car Rentals, your booking confirmation and rental agreement state the insurance included, the applicable damage excess, the refundable guarantee deposit and any optional excess-reduction cover you select.
What is included with your rental?
Third-party liability insurance is included as required by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. This covers liability to other people and their property, subject to the rental agreement. Damage to the rental vehicle is governed by the applicable excess, exclusions and any optional excess-reduction cover shown on your agreement.

These prices apply to economy-category vehicles. Insurance prices and excess amounts for SUVs, premium vehicles and other categories may differ and are confirmed before booking. Infinite Car Rentals does not normally offer zero-excess or full insurance.
What is not covered?
Insurance and excess-reduction products do not remove responsibility for every type of loss. Exclusions include unauthorised drivers, driving under the influence, unreported accidents, deliberate damage, negligence or misuse, lost or damaged keys and driving on unpaved or unsuitable roads. The final conditions are stated in the rental agreement.
Mechanical breakdown assistance is separate from non-mechanical roadside incidents such as punctures, flat batteries, lockouts, lost keys or emergency fuel delivery. Ask which roadside-assistance option applies to your booking before pickup.
Driving into Northern Cyprus
You may cross the Green Line only after informing Infinite Car Rentals in advance and receiving written confirmation on your rental agreement. The named driver must purchase the required temporary border insurance at the checkpoint.
Infinite Car Rentals’ Republic of Cyprus insurance and roadside assistance do not extend into Northern Cyprus. How the guarantee deposit works
The deposit amount depends on the vehicle category and insurance selected. At pickup, the required amount is preauthorised on the driver’s card. It is a temporary hold rather than a rental charge and is released after the vehicle is returned, provided no additional charges arise under the rental agreement.
Frequently asked questions
Does Infinite Car Rentals offer full or zero-excess insurance?
No. Zero-excess or full insurance is not normally offered. Economy renters can select LCDW or SCDW to reduce the applicable excess.
Can private travel or credit-card insurance replace the rental agreement?
No. Separate personal cover does not change Infinite Car Rentals’ deposit, excess or rental conditions unless this is confirmed in writing before collection.
Is my Cyprus rental insurance valid in Northern Cyprus?
No. Crossing requires advance permission, written confirmation and temporary border insurance purchased at the checkpoint. Infinite Car Rentals’ Cyprus insurance and roadside assistance do not operate there.
