Bring your full, original and valid driving licence, your original passport or national ID, and the driver’s payment card required for the rental and guarantee deposit. Additional drivers must also present the required original documents and be listed on the rental agreement.
All valid EU driving licences are accepted. If your valid licence is printed in a non-Roman alphabet, including Arabic, Japanese or Cyrillic, it must be accompanied by a valid International Driving Permit. Photocopies and learner’s permits are not accepted.
The minimum age is 21 and the maximum age is 80. Drivers aged 25 to 80 must have held a valid driving licence for at least one year. Drivers aged 21 to 24 must have held their licence for at least two years, may rent Economy-category vehicles only, and pay a €6 per-day Young Driver’s Surcharge.
Yes. Every additional driver must be named on the rental agreement and must present a valid driving licence plus passport or national ID. Insurance does not apply to an unauthorised driver who is not listed on the agreement.
Yes. Rental charges can be paid in advance or at pickup, depending on the booking arrangement. Major credit and debit cards are accepted for rental payments. Your booking confirmation will show the payment terms that apply to your reservation.
The guarantee deposit depends on the vehicle category and insurance option selected. At pickup, the required amount is normally preauthorised on a debit or credit card in a named driver’s name, meaning it is temporarily held rather than charged as a purchase. A spouse’s card may be used if the spouse is added as a named driver on the rental agreement. The hold is released after the rental, provided no additional charges arise under the agreement.
Third-party liability cover and Collision Damage Waiver are included subject to the rental agreement, applicable excess and exclusions. For Economy-category vehicles, Limited Collision Damage Waiver (LCDW) costs €6 per day or €100 per month and reduces the damage excess to €1,200. Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW) costs €11.50 per day or €150 per month and reduces the damage excess to €800. Other vehicle categories can have different excess amounts.
Infinite Car Rentals does not normally offer zero-excess or so-called full insurance. Optional excess-reduction cover may be available depending on the vehicle category, and the applicable excess is shown in your booking confirmation and rental agreement.
Mechanical breakdown service is included within the Republic of Cyprus. Non-mechanical incidents such as lost keys, towing, winching, a flat battery, tyre changes, lockouts or emergency fuel delivery are chargeable unless optional Roadside Assistance is purchased at €6 per day.
Yes. Rentals include unlimited kilometres within the Republic of Cyprus.
Yes, but you must inform Infinite Car Rentals in advance and obtain written confirmation on your rental agreement. The named driver must purchase the required temporary border insurance at the checkpoint. Infinite Car Rentals’ Republic of Cyprus insurance and roadside assistance do not operate in Northern Cyprus, so the renter remains responsible for damage, breakdowns, recovery costs and other expenses there. The fuel policy is full-to-full. Return the car with the same full fuel level. If fuel is missing, the cost of the missing fuel is charged together with a €20 refuelling service fee. No refund is provided for additional fuel left in the vehicle.

No. Rental vehicles must remain on normal public road surfaces such as tarmac, asphalt and concrete. Driving on unpaved roads, trails or unsuitable off-road surfaces can invalidate cover and make the renter responsible for resulting damage.

Yes. One-month and multi-month rentals are available for residents, visitors, students, business travellers and relocating families. Vehicle categories and monthly prices depend on the rental period and availability. See our Long-Term Car Rental Cyprus page for current guidance.
A grace period of 59 minutes applies after the agreed return time. After that, a minimum of one full rental day may be charged. If you need an extension, contact Infinite Car Rentals before the agreed return time so availability and any additional charge can be confirmed.
Prepaid bookings may be changed up to 24 hours before the rental starts, subject to availability. Bookings cancelled at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before pickup and no-shows may be charged in accordance with the booking confirmation.
Bookings are made by vehicle group. We try to provide the displayed make and model, but a specific vehicle cannot be guaranteed. If the booked model is unavailable, an equivalent or higher group may be supplied.
