Transparent Car Hire in Cyprus — Know What You Pay Before Pickup
Car rental should not become more expensive when you reach the counter. At Infinite Car Rentals, we believe customers should know the rental price, deposit, damage excess and optional extras before collecting the vehicle.

What your rental quote includes
- VAT shown as part of the booking price.
- Third-party liability insurance as required under Republic of Cyprus law.
- The vehicle rental charge for the dates and category selected.
- Unlimited kilometres within the Republic of Cyprus.
- Mechanical breakdown assistance in the Republic of Cyprus.
- A clear rental agreement showing the charges applicable to your booking.
The damage excess that applies to your selected vehicle and insurance level is shown on the booking confirmation or rental agreement. We do not advertise a low headline rate and then require you to purchase an undisclosed insurance package at pickup.
What is not automatically included?
Some customers want extra protection or additional services. These are optional unless specifically included in your booking:
- LCDW or SCDW excess-reduction cover
- Roadside Assistance cover for non-mechanical incidents
- Young Driver surcharge where applicable
- Delivery or collection services where applicable
- Fuel replacement if the vehicle is returned below the agreed fuel level
- Green Line temporary insurance when driving into Northern Cyprus
If an optional charge applies, it should be disclosed before you agree to it.
Economy car insurance options
For economy-category vehicles, our current excess-reduction options are straightforward:
- LCDW: €6 per day or €100 per month — damage excess reduced to €1,200.
- SCDW: €11.50 per day or €150 per month — damage excess reduced to €800.
Rates and excess amounts for SUVs, premium vehicles and other categories can differ and are confirmed before booking.
What about the deposit?
A security deposit or card pre-authorisation may be required depending on the vehicle category and insurance selected. The amount is confirmed as part of the rental terms rather than introduced as a surprise at collection.
The deposit is released after the vehicle is returned provided no additional charges apply, such as missing fuel, new damage, lost keys or other costs covered by the rental agreement.
No forced airport-counter insurance upgrade
One of the biggest frustrations for travellers is booking a cheap rental online and then being told at pickup that they need an expensive additional insurance package before they can take the car.
Infinite Car Rentals does not use that sales model. You can choose the level of excess reduction you want, understand the applicable excess, and see the relevant rental charges before collecting the vehicle.
What can still create an additional charge?
Transparent pricing does not mean a renter can never incur an extra charge. Additional charges can arise when something happens outside the original booking, for example:
- Returning the car with missing fuel
- Traffic or parking fines
- New damage
- Lost or damaged keys
- Smoking or excessive cleaning
- Extending the rental
- Requesting an additional service after booking

Crossing the Green Line?
Driving into Northern Cyprus requires advance notice and written permission on the rental agreement. Republic of Cyprus insurance does not extend across the Green Line, so the named driver must purchase the required temporary local insurance at the checkpoint.
